College Online Class Communication

Communication in the classroom

The difference between a college class and casual conversation is the following.  In a casual conversation the individuals topic is a response to a conversation that two people have. In a college forum I need to be considerate of my online tone. The other classmates would not know if I was joking, sarcastic, or individual intentions.

The best ways to demonstrate respect is through warmth by adding a personal touch. Everyone has a different personality. Responsiveness is also a sign of respect. Keep the conversation going and not waiting two days it helps maintain positive relationships. Tentativeness is one I need to work on because that is my individual idea and I need to be aware that there are others that have a different point of view.

Is this an important skill to follow in comminication?

Credibility in communication is key. Believe and display integrity and character. Leaders are built when people trust others expertise. Showing strengths in thinking, problem solving, and logical skills openly and convincing encourages results.
